它有很多種內容表達形式（expression），如：電影、影集、小說等；
其載體表現（manifestation）有：印刷書、光碟等；
其單件（item）有：一本小說、一張光碟。

一個人或團體可以擁有一個或多個單件：一個人可以有《歌劇魅影》的一本紙本書、《歌劇魅影》電影版的一片光碟；
一個人或團體可以生產一個或多個載體表現：出版社在印刷紙本《歌劇魅影》的同時，可以出版電子書版進行發售；
一個人或團體可以實現一個或多個內容表達：演員可以出演《歌劇魅影》的舞台劇、電影；
一個人或團體可以創作一個或多個作品：法國作家卡斯頓·勒胡的作品有《黃色房間的秘密》 （Le mystère de la chambre jaune, 1907）、《歌劇魅影》（Le fantôme de l'Opéra, 1910）等
